Read caption ⬇️ Of course this is an over generalization and not a rule. The main point is to emphasize the difference between tylenol and ibuprofen. If you have pain due to inflammation ibuprofen might be the better option for you. The most common cause of pain below the neck is myofascial which can have inflammation. However if you have history of stomach ulcer, kidney disease, heart attack or stroke tylenol will be better to avoid further long term side effects from ibuprofen. Tylenol when taken over 4,000mg per day can potentially cause liver disease. If you have any questions regarding which medication will have more benefit than risk for you please discuss with your Doctor. 🫡

Another example of why it’s important to diagnose the underlying cause of pain. Unfortunately, many Women have voiced concern that their pain has not been taken seriously. I’m glad they are sharing their stories so we can learn from them, increase awareness, and hopefully bring change. I’ve joined @ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕗𝕪 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕂𝕖𝕣𝕣𝕪 to form the Womens health advocacy group to help advocate for Women’s pain 🫡. #womenshealth #womenspain

Read caption ⬇️ There are different classes of pain medications. Depending on the cause of your pain you may benefit from one class over the other 🤓. It is important to discuss with your Doctor if you take these medications long term to make sure the benefit outweighs the risk, since all can have side effects when taken long term 💊. Make sure to follow for more in depth videos on pain medications 🫡. #chronicpain #chronicpainrelief #painmeds

🧤 Cold hands and color-changing fingers? It could be Raynaud’s Syndrome! ❄️ This condition causes blood vessels to narrow when triggered by cold or stress, making fingers and toes turn white, blue, and then red as blood flow returns. 🌈 Here’s how to keep it in check: ✅ Keep warm with layers, especially on hands & feet ✅ Avoid sudden temp changes ✅ Try stress-relieving exercises 🧘‍♀️ ✅ Enjoy a balanced diet for circulation boost 🚫 Smoke—nicotine constricts blood flow 🚫 Overdo caffeine—it can trigger symptoms ☕ ❄️ Raynaud’s can be tricky but manageable! Have you noticed color changes in your hands or feet? 👇 Comment your experiences below and save these tips! 💙 #raynauds #raynaudsdiseaseawareness #medical

Always discuss your full history with your Anesthesiologist, including all medications you take so we can take the proper precautions. Ozempic can slow down gastric emptying; which can increase your risk of aspiration pneumonia when recieving anesthesia. Typically it is advised to stop at least 7 days prior to surgery but please dicsuss with your Doctor how many days prior to your surgery you should stop taking. 🫡

Did you know drinking too much water too fast can actually be dangerous? It’s called **water intoxication** which can cause hyponatremia, and it happens when excess water dilutes the sodium levels in your blood. A general recommendation is to consume about 2L of water per day but this can vary depening on body weight, goals, and medical history. What is more important is the rate at which you are consuming. 🫡
