Clutch stick from Nationals last year🙌 In just a few days, we’ll head out to Rhode Island for the 2025 US National Championships - let’s do it 🇺🇸 #gymnastics #gymnasticssaves #sports #flips
The hardest season of my career.👇 If you’ve been following my journey, you know this year has been more than a battle. After two separate hamstring injuries (both just days before the first qualifiers of the year), my season was pretty much cut to just Nationals. Still, with only two weeks of training prior, I felt more ready than ever for this competition - but not everything goes as you anticipate it to, especially in gymnastics. So, after a crash on my first pass, my season ends with what I’ve felt all year long; disappointment. The past 6 months have been a constant state of unknowns. Imagine training your tail off for a meet, only for the opportunity to compete to be stripped from you days before the show. Then, after recovering well and practicing even better, imagine it happens again. Just like that, I was sidelined for 2/3 of this year's qualifiers. So while the fall at Nationals obviously hurts, nothing is more painful than knowing I’ve been capable of so much more all season long. For my first time since 2017, I wasn’t selected for the US National Team. It stings, but it’s a reminder of how privileged I’ve been. There’s genuinely nobody more deserving to be on this year’s team, than those who have been selected - and I am so proud of all my competitors, friends, and teammates who’ve showed out all year. Now, it’s time for me to properly rest and recover, and turn things back around next season. It’s not over yet. We’ll be back, I promise.
