#ad Time to start assembling these stairs! First step is getting all the treads on the wall side of the stairs glued and set in the mortises. I used the @Festool Canada TXS 18 and TPC 18 drills to drill the pilot hole and drive in the GRK screws to suck the tenons tight into the mortises instead of using clamps as it was faster and if I used clamps I would have had to do it in sections as I wouldn’t have had enough clamps to do them all at once @Titebond Products
Laying down some @Toolgrid tiles and setting in all the 1/2”, 3/8” and 1/4” socket holders both imperial and metric to organize all the @Milwaukee Tool sockets
Full vanity base build video with so many great tools and products that played a part. You can really see how the Barth work bench really helps the process. Of course @Festool Canada @Titebond Products @Bow Products @Blaklader Workwear always playing a big roll and now @mafell.de_offiziell really coming in handy for mortises on this project. I would post the full vanity build but Instagram has limits on the length of videos so I will post the top build next
#ad Now a final stair tread sand and test fit with the @Festool Canada ETSC 2 cordless sander before moving on to glue up. Having the light on this sander is amazing!
#ad Grabbed some @Einhell Canada tools and got to work putting the King cabinet saw together. Really nice having this @Toolgrid section of the shop set up and organized for stuff like this and for working on vehicles and toys 👍
#ad I really like how this @Toolgrid vertical tool wall system makes it so you can completely customize the placement of all your tools. This section of the @Milwaukee Tools wall is now almost complete 👍
#ad Definitely the longest glue up I’ve done! Broke out the big @Titebond Products jug and the glue roller and 26 @boratool clamps and needed two Bora sawhorses to extend the already extended workbench. I was sprinting on this one to get it done in time!
Using the King Canada jointer to answer a common question and show why you can just use a jointer for all four sides of a piece of wood and have to also use a planer if you want square, uniform wood
#ad Vacation tools! Pretty neat cordless cooler/warmer from @Einhell Canada 👍 you can plug it into your car, into an outlet or use a battery. Took the family to the Oregon coast and this has been used some days to keep food and drinks cool and other days to keep it warm since Oregon weather changes its mind often 😁
#ad Bridle joint or slot mortise and tenon with some clean cutting @suizan_japan saws and chisels. Been busy working on the shop and getting organized and so it’s been a hot minute since I’ve done some joinery with hand tools
#ad Another way to cut the tenons on the stair treads is fasten the tread to the side of the @Festool Canada MFT table and attach a tenon template using some @Titebond Products InstantBond glue and then cut the tenon with the OF 1400 router
#ad This is the @Festool Canada centering bit which is designed to make sure the holes you drill for door hinges are perfectly centered which helps to make it that your hinges are exactly in the right position
