My form of meditation 🙏🏼 solo hiking is the best time to allow your thoughts to flow freely. To pray and to problem solve. Do you ever wonder why it’s worth going through hell to reach some spots? Because in the pnw, the season/weather/temp/waterlevel/snowline will always try to hold you back from reaching the most beautiful parts of this region, BUT WE CANNOT AND WILL NOT BE STOPPED #BackpackingForBeginners #HowToBackpack #PNWBackpacking #NorthCascades #WashingtonHiking #SoloBackpacking #BackpackingTips #LearnToBackpack #BeginnerBackpacker #HikingForBeginners #SoloHiking #BackpackingGear #PNWAdventures #PNWExplorer #HikingWashington #PacificNorthwest #TrailTips #BackpackThePNW #BackpackingLife #AdventureEducation #NatureHowTo #LimitlessOutside #MountainMinded #BackcountryBasics #ExploreResponsibly
I would NOT recommend this hike to anyone who is a beginner hiker/ backpacker! This hike was steeper, longer, and overall more treacherous that most hikes I’ve done. If you want a taste for adventure and want to push your limits, hike the Golden Ears Provincial Park Summit Trail! If you’re not in top tier shape, and able to carry a full pack up the the top, this could be your next favorite hike😏 I won’t be doing this one again any time soon but boy did I feel on top of the world🤯🤯 #GoldenEarsSummit #GoldenEarsProvincialPark #BCHikes #CanadaHikes #HikingCanada #HikeBC #ExploreBC #CanadianOutdoors #HikersOfTikTok #TrailLife #MountainViews #SunsetHike #CampingInBC #BackpackingCanada #NatureLovers #WildernessCulture #PeakViews #HikeMoreWorryLess #AdventureBC #CanadianExplorer
Mount Rainier pushed me harder than I ever expected. It wasn’t just a tough climb. The wind was brutal, the cold cut deep, and the altitude hit fast. Every step reminded me how massive and unforgiving that mountain is. It was beautiful in a way that didn’t feel safe. I left feeling humbled and thankful to have made it down. @RMI Expeditions @Lung Association

Why go backpacking up a mountain by yourself? Simple answer: because you can. There won’t always be someone inviting you out to do things, and we all know how hard it is to get multiple people to commit to plans. Do it alone. If have two legs that work, and the ability to carry a backpack, you’ve got no excuse not to push yourself and get out there. Of course it won’t be easy or simple at first but that’s the same with everything. Follow for more. #SoloBackpacking #HikingAdventures #PNWExplorers #BackpackersOfInstagram #TentViews #HikingCulture #WildernessTherapy #GoldenEarsSummit #CanadaHikes #PacificNorthwest #REIGear #TheNorthFace #NatureEscape #GoldenEarsProvincialPark #TrailViews #MountainCamping #ExploreBC #OutdoorAesthetic #LeaveNoTrace #HikeMoreWorryLess
By far the most bang for your buck I’ve ever had on a trail! Perfect weather, beautiful wildflowers, well made trail, and the most stunning view I’ve seen maybe ever! Still mulling it over. In the early hours of July 10th, under the light of a full moon, our team set forth on a challenging and courageous mission—an alpine ascent through the upper reaches of Mt. Rainier. The night was calm, the stars were bright, and the path ahead was clear. But at 12,300 feet, near the top of Disappointment Cleaver, we faced extreme and unexpected winds—gusts reaching 60 miles per hour. Our team, led by experienced guides, made the tough but necessary decision to stand down for the safety of all involved. We may not have reached the summit, but make no mistake—this mission was a success. We showed strength, unity, and resolve. And as the sun rose over the mountain, it reminded us of something greater: the spirit of perseverance that defines us. The climb continues. And America climbs with us. God bless you all, and God bless this great land. #MtRainier #RainierClimb #ClimbForAir #AmericanLungAssociation #RMIGuides #Mountaineering #AlpineClimb #BackpackingLife #PNWAdventures #OutdoorTok #AdventureTok #ClimberTok #SummitAttempt #ExploreMore #MountainViews #NatureLovers #WildernessCulture #PacificNorthwest #HikingChallenge #TrekkingLife @RMI Expeditions @Lung Association @Patagonia@thenorthface@mountainhardwear@Outdoor Research @smartwoolsocial@Fenix Lighting
Mt Pilchuck might be one of the best bang for your buck hikes in Washington. It’s just over 3 miles to the top with around 2300 feet of elevation gain. That might sound short but it’s steep almost the whole way. You start in the trees, wind through boulders and roots, then break out into wide open views all the way to the summit where there’s a fire lookout sitting right on top. We went for sunset and hit it perfectly. The sky lit up in every direction, and the clouds turned orange and pink as the mountains lit up in the distance. It was unreal. One of the best views you can reach without a full day mission. It’s beginner friendly but definitely a leg burner. If you’re just getting into hiking, you’ll love the reward at the top. If you’re training for bigger climbs, it’s a great fast push with a heavy pack. If you just want a place to sit above the world and feel something, this one’s for you. Bring a headlamp if you’re going for sunset. The way down gets dark fast. @Adrian #mtpilchuck #sunsethike #nighthike #pnwhiking #washingtontrails #firelookout #optoutside #pnwadventures #hikingbuddies #trailviews #mountaintherapy #sunsetmission #steephike #hikinglife #hikeclimbrepeat #adventuretime #pnwonderland #cascadesunset #beginnerhikes #hikeforviews
Replying to @babyyyolives Top 10 backpacking essentials 🏕️ If you’re new to the trail or dialing in your kit, here’s what you actually need: 1. Backpack – Carries everything. Fit, support, and weight distribution are key. 2. Tent – Shelter from rain, wind, bugs, and unexpected chaos. 3. Sleeping Pad – Insulates from the cold ground and keeps your spine happy. 4. Sleeping Bag – Keeps you warm. Choose one rated for your coldest night. 5. Cook System – Stove + fuel + pot = hot meals and morale boost. 6. Water Filtration – Clean water is non-negotiable. Filters save your gut. 7. Navigation – Map, GPS app, or compass so you don’t get “technically camping.” 8. First Aid Kit – Blisters, burns, scrapes, patch it up and keep moving. 9. Headlamp – For late hikes, setting up at night, or early alpine starts. 10. Layers – Weather changes fast. Pack insulation and rain gear always. @REI #BeginnerBackpacking #BackpackingForBeginners #NewToBackpacking #BackpackingTips #HikingGear101 #CampingBasics #WhatToPack #BackpackingChecklist #HikingForBeginners #OutdoorBeginner #TrailTips #BackpackingMadeEasy #GearUpAndGo #PNWBackpacking #SoloBackpacking #REIGear #TentCamping #FirstBackpackingTrip #LearnToBackpack #TikTokOutdoors
