Trolls are taking over the Bay Area! 😱 And I couldn't be happier!! @Thomas Dambo is my favorite artist. ❤️I’ve been obsessed with his work since I met Isak Heartstone, a giant troll in Colorado. Then we spent a summer living in Copenhagen, and since Dambo is Danish, there's plenty of cutie trolls around Denmark to spot. 🇩🇰 But, getting to see them in my own backyard? Pure joy!! ☀️ 6 Dambo trolls just moved into @Filoli Historic House & Garden and they are so dang cute! Made from recycled wood and full of personality, each one is here to help us reconnect with nature (and spark a little whimsy). 🎟️ Entrance to see them is included in a standard Filoli ticket! 📆 They're only here until November, so run don't walk! 👟 They're hidden around the nature preserve trail, so wear sturdy shoes Who's excited to see these trolls?! How to get Biz Class seats without spending $$$ or using all your credit card points ⬇️ There's a SECRET way to travel that so many people don't know about, and airlines usually keep on the down-low. ✨ It's called a Big Upgrade ✨ It's when an airlines hasn't sold out their business class or first class seats and, last minute, will offer them to passengers at a steep discount. 💰 Passengers can bid on seats and if they win the bid, they get to fly business class for just a few hundred dollars instead of a few thousand! Most international airlines offer this program (I've had the most luck winning my upgrades on @klm and @lufthansa) ❤️ 1. After you buy your economy seat, set an cal reminder for 72 hours before your flight. 2. Then Google up your airline + bid upgrade to easily find the bid portal (sometimes this can be easily found in your airline account but usually it's a little hard to find so I just Google for it directly!) 3. There will be a minimum you have to bid. I like to bid $1-$20 above the min to improve my chances of winning the seat. 4. The airline will tell you 24 hours before your flight if you got the upgrade or not. I've done this many times! I flew from SFO to Berlin for Christmas Markets a few years ago and won my @Lufthansa bid for $501 so I got a full nights sleep and a great meal before hitting the ground running in Germany. San Francisco, get your butts over to Golden Gate Park to see Naga! 🐉🌲 He's a serpent/dragon who debuted at Burning Man last year, but his new home is in Rainbow Falls (he'll stay for 2 years). day 4 proving California is the best state ⬇️ 💦 i discovered this secret swimming hole in Calavears a couple years before we bought our @Whimsy Homes Cabin and ngl, the fact this spot was just 25 mins away from the cabin was 100% one of the reasons we bought it. Natural Bridges is this insanely cool cave that has a river running through it. Bring a floatie since you'll want to be able to float from one side to the other (you can totally swim it, but the middle where it's dark is kinda scary without a floatie lol) Also wear sturdy water shoes since the cave is slippery! I love my @Teva Footwear I take them on all my adventures. Just writing this post makes me want to drive back up to this cave and go swimming again. It's truly so special. Saw multiple women at this stunning swimming hole in NorCal fully clothes and sitting on the sidelines as they watched their kids/partner/friends enjoy swimming in this majestic cave. I get it. I used to be like them: hiding my body all the time, skipping out on pool parties or volunteering to stay with the beach towel since I hated my body. Then I did the work to change my relationship with myself and realized life is 100000% more fun when i actually put on the swimsuit. When I jump in the cool water of a swimming hole on a hot summer day. When I realize nobody is sitting there judging my rolls, and if they were, it literally doesn't impact me at all. This hidden gem swimming hole near Arnold is such a treat and I can't believe some people hiked all the way down here on a hot day just to sit on the sidelines.
