Incredibly sad news, 3 Doors Down vocalist Brad Arnold reveals stage 4 cancer diagnosis and cancels summer tour. In a video, Arnold said “Hey, everybody, it's Brad from 3 Doors Down. I hope you're having a great day today. I've got some not-so-good news for you today. So I'd been sick a couple of weeks ago and then went to the hospital and got checked out and had actually got the diagnosis that I had clear cell renal carcinoma that had metastasized into my lung. And it's stage 4, and that's not real good." "You know what? We serve a mighty God, and he can overcome anything," Arnold said. "So I have no fear. I really, sincerely am not scared of it at all. But it is gonna force us to cancel our tour this summer. And we're sorry for that. And I'd love for you to lift me up in prayer every chance you get. And I think it's time for me to maybe go listen to 'It's Not My Time' a little bit. Thank you guys so much. God loves you, we love you. See ya." Sending all the loved to Brad and his family right now. #3doorsdown #rock #rockmusic #creed

Metallica was not a big fan of the Department of Defense using “Enter Sandman” for a video promoting the department’s drone capabilities. The band sent the DoD a copyright notice and the department released a statement after uploading a new version without ‘Tallica. “This afternoon, representatives from X reached out to DoD regarding a video posted to our social media page and asked that the video be removed due to a copyright issue with the song ‘Enter Sandman’ by Metallica. The video has been taken down, corrected, and re-uploaded to our page,” a Pentagon spokesman said in a statement on Friday. #metallica #rock #metal #metalhead

Former Foo Fighters drummer Josh Freese recently revealed that he was fired from the band and was not given a reason. As promised in his initial post, Freese has come up with his top 10 list of possible reasons for why he got canned. Once whistled "My Hero" for a week solid on tour. Could only name one Fugazi song. Two words: polyrhythms. Metronome-like precision behind the kit deemed "soulless." Demanded starting every rehearsal with a 20 minute cowbell sound bath. Never even once tried growing a beard. Didn't show up to studio because Mercury was in retrograde. Promised Noodles he could be 4th guitarist. Refused to perform unless he was guaranteed a Ouija board and nunchucks after every show. The whole poodle thing was getting to be a bit much. #foofighters #davegrohl #rock #alternative

Kelly Osbourne has spoken out for the first time since her father Ozzy passed away earlier this week. On her IG Story, Kelly quoted Black Sabbath's 1972 ballad "Changes." A song that she re-recorded with Ozzy as a duet in 2003. In the heartbreaking post she wrote: "I feel unhappy I am so sad. I lost the best friend I ever had 💔” #ozzyosbourne #blacksabbath #rock #metal
I can’t even believe this. Just weeks after playing his farewell show, Ozzy Osbourned has passed away at the age of 76. In a statement to The Guardian, the Osbourne family said: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.” No cause of death was given, though Osbourne had experienced various forms of ill health in recent years. #ozzyosbourne #blacksabbath #rock #metal

After the viral performance at Black Sabbath’s ‘Back To The Beginning’ concert and just days before Ozzy Osbourne passed away, Yungblud officially released his cover of “Changes” with all proceeds being donated to Acorn’s, Cure Parkinson’s and Birmingham children’s hospital. After his passing, Yungblud shared a heartfelt tribute to Ozzy who he says was like a father figure to him. “I didn’t think you would leave so soon the last time we met you were so full of life and your laugh filled up the room. But as it is written with legends, they seem to know the things that we don’t. I will never forget you - you will be in every single note I sing and with me every single time I walk on stage. Your cross around my neck is the most precious thing I own. You asked me once if there was anything you could do for me and as I said then and as I will say now for all of us the music was enough. You took us on your adventure - an adventure that started it all. I am truly heartbroken. You were the greatest of all time.” #ozzyosbourne #yungblud #rock #metal
Kali Uchis (who is a singer with millions of streams, before anyone comments “who?”) seems to think the band Sleep Token is doing “blackface” Kali recently shared a Billboard chart graphic (on slide 3) where she used a heart emoji to cover up the number 1 spot which was held by Sleep Token. She then posted a story about how she got her spot without payola and gimmicks. Some fans believe this was just a coincidence and she wasn’t really throwing shade at Sleep Token, but when called out in a comment section, Kali responded (in a since deleted post) saying “To be honest I didn’t feel comfortable posting a photo of someone in black face, it really wasn’t deeper than that, doll.” #sleeptoken #rock #metal #metalhead
