The tiny Big Bear Valley eaglets aren't so little anymore and will soon be ready to stretch their wings and fly from their parents’ nest in California any day now. CBS News Los Angeles caught up with Friends of Big Bear Valley Executive Director Sandy Steers for updates on the exciting but nerve-wracking moment for the beloved bald eagle parents, Jackie and Shadow, as their children, Sunny and Gizmo, prepare to fledge the nest. There was a comment that asked if Sunny and Gizmo would fly off as a pair - I can't find that comment, but here is the answer: Yes, Sunny and Gizmo are likely to move together as a pair. Once they leave the nest, they will remain in the area and Jackie and Shadow will continue to care for them, guiding them in finding food and teaching them how to hunt and fish. Friends of Big Bear Valley has stated that the eaglets will stay in the area for a couple of months, potentially even flying back to the nest and sleeping there at night.  Hope this helps ☺️ #jackieandshadow #sunnyandgizmo #eaglets #pair #livecam #nest #bigbearcalifornia
