You may feel like you’re failing at your diet because you the scale isn’t going down. You could be losing weight but it’s being masked by you holding on to more water then usual. Ask yourself did you have anything out the ordinary from your regular foods that may have been more saltier and had more sodium. Sodium makes your body holds on to more water as well. Did you eat more carbs, just because you eat carbs front mean that you gained fat. 1 gram of carbs holds on to 3x more per gram. It could be a number of reasons. Give yourself some a couple days for your body to get back to homeostasis and that water weight will flush out by itself, and you might be surprised. You might even lose a 2-3 more pounds along with it.
