The night before I accidentally locked Leo & Pluto in the bedroom for 3 hours and I thought he was just annoyed. He kept meowing at me, licking himself, and attacking Pluto. I thought his behavior was strange and I had a weird gut feeling, but didn’t understand. The next day I noticed he was taking a long time in the litter with no pee coming out, then licking himself again. I took him to the vet right away and turns out he had a urinary blockage. After being unblocked, he was sent home with medication, and switched to a prescription diet. I honestly don’t know what would’ve happened if I waited any longer, as blockages are often times fatal. I’ve been so anxious and keeping a close eye on Leo, because a blockage can still happen at any time. He hasn’t made a full recovery yet, but seems to be doing better.
